We Are Back! (Sort Of)

This is our last post regarding the Cargo situation. See our first and second posts for more background information.

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce that we are rebuilding our game data database. During this time, some of the previous functionality will still not be available, or will only be partially available.

Last blog post we mentioned that we started our first feedback form. It currently only has 12 responses, so please consider giving us your thoughts on the current state of the wiki!

Rebuilding the database

Previously, we tried using Semantic MediaWiki (SMW), but due to technical limitations we weren't able to replicate what we previously had with Cargo. During the time we were trialing SMW, Miraheze was able to introduce a mitigation to reduce the security risk with having Cargo installed.

We've only recently gotten Cargo re-enabled, so it may take a while to get everything back to where it was. Like previously mentioned, we'll be rebuilding our datatables in the following order:

  1. Songs - Partially ready for use (September 10)
  2. Cards - Ready for use (September 10)
  3. Events - Ready for use (September 10)
  4. Gachas - Ready for use (September 10)
  5. Costumes - Ready for use (September 10)
  6. Stamps - Ready for use (September 10)

Song data list
The song data list, but with a lot of missing songs

We're not sure why our Cargo tables aren't being rebuilt automatically, but we'll try to add data in as fast as possible. Please patient as this might be a manual process. This blog post will be updated when the main lists (e.g. Song data list, List of cards, List of events, etc.) appear to include all the correct data.

Error reporting

During the rebuild process, we might encounter some broken pages, as we have previously migrated to SMW and then back from SMW. These errors, along with anything else, should be reported in either the #error-reports channel of our Discord server, or with our error report Google Form. More details on error reporting and contributing to Sekaipedia in general can be found on the contributing page on the wiki.
